IN THE SHADOW OF SADNESS

And then the sadness arrived uninvited.

I have learned to live in its shadow.

It 's here.

Every second, every minute, every hour.

We eat dinner together.

The appetizer is wrapped in darkness.

The main course is filled with generous portions of depression.

The dessert has a frightening aroma.

I have almost become addicted.

My smile is frozen on my face.

And then the sadness haunted my dreams.

It ' s my new roommate.

Its presence is strong in every room.

It 's here.

It emerges from the corner, smiles ironically and

whispers in my ear:

“Your worst nightmare has become reality”.

Now i wear the sadness

like my second skin.

It has captured my soul.

Our shadows dance together.

At the end of the day

the sadness promises:

“We will be together till the death do us part”.
